Hi everyone! Happy Memorial Day to you!!! I hope everyone is having a good, but safe holiday. I am still enjoying my vacation here in Myrtle Beach S.C.. There were so many things to do here in this city. I had an awesome time minus the Banana Boat ride i took on the Atlantic Ocean. WoW! Talk about salty water. LOL. That ride sure was an expereince for me. Well here is a video i took right when we got to Mrytle Beach on Friday. Let me warn you that this was my first time seeing/being on a beach in mylife. Be prepared for the WOWS!!!!!!!!!

Well Needed Vacation!!!!

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is having a fantastic Friday. I know i am. Earlier this week I was suprised by my boo that he was taking me to the beach for some much needed vacation time. How thrilled was I. OMG!!!! Was all I could say. Why? Because I have never ever in my whole entire life been to a beach before. I mean it was always on my list of things to do, but I never got around to doing it. So here I am in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. What can I say? I haven't been here long and of course my first stop was to get a look at this beach. OMG!! I was speechless. I felt like a little kid again all giggle inside :~))

Most people may not have been as thrilled, but boy was I. I couldn't wait to get my feet in the water and I cannot even swim. What sense does that make? It was getting late when we arrived, so we did not stay long. However, we will be making another stop at the beach tomorrow. This time I will really get to play and relax. Here are a few quick pictures I was able to take so far. Now all I need is some beach theme or travel them scrap paper so I can make some scrapbook pages of all the pictures I am going to take. Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!

Simple Card!!!!!

Here's a quick and simple card i created the other day using a new paper stack collection by DCWV called The Natural Stack. For this card i also used my Martha Stewart pop-up water lilly punch. I just cut different sizes of some scrap paper i had left hanging around and for my cardstock i just used a golden brown that i got from a stack at Walmart. Can you believe that????? It actually turned out better than i had expected it to.

Thanks for looking!!!!!!!!!!!!!

House Mini

Hello everyone. I just wanted to share a mini that i have recently completed for a swap im doing with a lovely lady i have met on youtube. I must say that this is my first mini album swap. We decided to use our chipboard mini albums that we purchased from Micheal's, different cuts using our cricut, and whatever paper collection we wanted. For this album, i've chosen to use the house chipboard mini. This is my fourth mini album i have done so far. I must admit that it is a lot of fun. Okay, so here is what i used. For my paper collection i decided to use the DCWV Songbird paper stack. My swap buddy requested a birdcage from my sernade cartridge as well as cuts from Doodlecharms, Forever Young, and Graphically Speaking cartridges. To keep the theme of this mini i tried to incorporate what i could. I just hope she likes it. I also used brown lace trim and pearl lace trim. To acheive the orange, blue, and green lace colors i just sprayed my pearl lace with patina, golden terracotta, and lime twist glimmermist. I also sprayed the entire album with iridesent gold glimmer mist to give the pages a little shimmer affect. I also used diffrent die-cuts using some sizzix dies and i added a few prima flowers to the frame on the cover. Overall i think this album turned out pretty good. I'm sure i will be doing this again....................

Butterfly mini Album

Here is a mini i created yesterday. My mojo has been here all weekend. I have so many ideas floating around in my head, that i find it hard to concentrate on other things. Like my to do list. Its like once im in my scrapping zone its hard to pull my attention elsewhere. Has that ever happen to you????

Anyway, i decided to use the Blossoms and Butterfly stack by DCWV. Such pretty papers. I had been needing to use up some of my chipboard albums that i bought from my local Micheals a few months ago. This album is full of frames that i die cut with my bigshot and tags i made for journaling and and adding photos. My only complaint is that i wish i had more prima flowers. Oh well, i guess i need to be on the hunt for the best deals on all the new prima line. I am so late on that......

My First tag.......

Here is my first tag that i created last week.

Here is what i used: Tim Holtz distress ink- tattered rose, victorian velvet, vintage photo

French script, cuttlebug-stylized flowers

Hot off the press stamps- small Paris

Prima flower, bling, brad, and laces

Just a few Layouts!!!!

Here are a few layouts that i created over the last few days. This is my first post and i really do not know what i am doing. I never blogged before, so please bare with me. If you have any tips for me please feel free to leave me comments. On my sons layout i used the Basic Grey Origins collection. I tried to keep all of these layouts simple. Even more so with my son, because he says he does'nt need all the embellishments on his pages. LOL. On my daughters page i used the Prima Strawberry kiss paper, added a few bling and another butterfly that i found in my stash. My baby girls page i just also kept it simple. I used cardstock from Stampin Up, SEI patterned paper, and my Martha Stewart butterfly punch.
